Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024) – REVIEW

Who needs paper anymore? Writing down some notes or sketching out a quick image, Amazon’s Kindle Scribe is a game changer for organization. After nearly 4 months of use, I have found it to be a force multiplier to every job and the general hub-bub of everyday activities. And with Black Friday just around the corner, its going to be a good time to consider snagging one on sale.

So lets talk about this little gadget! The key takeaways from my experience with the device is the capability of the Scratchpad, the responsiveness/feel of the Stylus(if you choose to get it, which I recommend), and finally the linkage with Amazon Prime.

The Scratchpad or Touchscreen if that is what you call it? Its hard to put a name because the screen has a surprisingly close match to actual paper, this helps a lot with the feel of the overall experience in using it. If your at all familiar with pen and paper, its a nice switch over. Furthermore, the responsiveness of tapping buttons on the screen and generally moving around the interface is quick and clean without any stutter.

One addition I would make with this device, and my opinion a requirement, is the Stylus. The feeling of ‘writing’ on the touchscreen surface is a little weird at first, but gets fun when you find out that you can change the size/shape of the digital pen-tip. The featured image above is a pretty good example of three of the types like the marker, fountain and pencil tips. But, it does have the capability of reacting to your finger like a regular tablet if needed.

Lastly is the linkage with Amazon Prime, this subscription service has come a long way since I first got it about 4 years ago. From Amazon Music, Free Amazon Shipping and Kindle books. There are ways to get more than your money’s worth from the subscription and having the Scribe has enhanced my experience with it.

Overall, this little gadget is an awesome piece to have in the meeting, a comfortable experience when organizing your thoughts or writing notes. To conclude, the Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024) is a recommend!

  • Grok AI – Tech Review

    Grok AI – Tech Review

AI, everyone seems to be talking about it, big companies throwing cash at it in astronomical numbers. But why? Is it really worth it? Let’s dive in and take a look ourselves!

The first AI tool we will review is one of the most popular choices and I personally have used for over a year now, Grok. This review will talk about some of the key takeaways from that experience, namely, the ease of use, social platform portability and feature-rich environment.

The Ease of Use. Imagine you thinking a completely random thought, random like: “How is pudding made?”. And, out it spits a step-by-step process on how to do it and some snippets of background information. Very easy and quick!

The Social Platform Portability, a fun addition to social media. On X/Twitter when making a comment on a post you can type in “@grok” anywhere within it and Grok’s account will post a comment answering your comment.

The Feature-Rich Environment, Grok not only comes with its prompt and answer capability but also has more features like ‘Companions’ and text-to-image/video generation. These features are presented focused in on an easy to use and appealing website.

Overall, Grok is an excellent tool and ‘companion’ to have when navigating problems or just enjoying different topics of interest. For this, I would recommend using Grok!

  • JLab’s GO POP+ Earbuds – REVIEW

    JLab’s GO POP+ Earbuds – REVIEW

Price, Performance and Power. Wireless Earbuds for cheap, great sound quality for the price and able to last? JLab’s Pop+ Earbuds are a recommend. Why? If your like me, one earbud usually is able to ‘grow legs’, go camping under a couch or chill between the seat cushions of my car. These lost adventures can be costly! And the relative cheapness of the GO POP+ makes it affordable to, sadly, buy another pair (been there, done that).

There are some alternative earbuds with some cool tech that will mitigate or find these lost buds. Like Apple’s “Find My” technology, that can make discovering those lost earbud’s hideout easier by showing their location on a map. Although, Apple’s latest pair of buds can run over $100 dollars for the AirPods 4. While having a pair would most likely be a pleasure to use (if price equates to performance), it is a rather high price point.

Overall, JLab’s GO POP+ can put your mind at ease when considering the cost of a pair of earbuds, running around $25 dollars. Hours and hours of battery life, fast ~10 minute charge time and decent noise cancelling, it will get you through the day. I personally use these constantly and have yet, over three months of use, to experience breakage or loss of battery performance. After extensive review, the JLab GO POP+ Earbuds is a recommend!
